Master Huijing’s Short Teachings - Faith in Pure Land Buddhism

Those who wish to be reborn in Amitabha’s Pure Land should know that their positive and negative karma are of different weights. Amitabha Buddha’s mind is equal and universal in deliverance.
If they can realize in this way, those with positive karma should perform more wholesome deeds to repay the grace, and those with negative karma should start performing wholesome deeds to correct their misconduct, because all of them are now already secured in rebirth.
However, it should be noted that, the volition to repay that grace and to perform wholesome deeds, both ultimately originate from the touch of Amitabha’s great compassion.
只是欲生彼國之人，應該首先知道眾生善惡雖然輕重不等，彌陀佛心卻是平等普濟。
若能如此體悟，則善機感念佛德更加力行善事以報恩，惡機蒙佛救度自能洗心革面以行善。
故生起真正報恩、行善的力量，其根源來自對彌陀大悲的l觸動。
