Today, we know and believe that our rebirth is accomplished by reciting the Name and aspiring to rebirth, with reliance on Amitabha’s vow power. Once we believe, we believe forever, without changing our minds. From morning ‘til night, from night ‘til morning, we always exclusively recite Amitabha’s name. We don’t recite the names of other buddhas, bodhisattvas, sutras, or dharanis. This is the sincere advice urged by Master Shandao.
今日信知,稱名願生,乘佛願力,定得往生;一信永信,始終不二,始終一貫。從早到晚,從晚到早,皆一向專稱專念彌陀佛名,不念餘佛菩薩並其他經咒,此善導大師苦口婆心之所勸導也。
