Among the various teachings of the Sacred Path, a practitioner must be capable of cultivating zealously without retrogression, because he merely relies on his own power when practicing these skills.
In the teaching of Amitabha-recitation in the Pure Land path, regardless of the aptitude and capacity, power and skills, of the intelligent or slow-witted practitioner, we only rely on Amitabha’s vow power.
聖道各種法門,須有修行的能力,精進不退,唯靠自己功夫。
淨土念佛法門,不論利鈍之機功,無利無鈍,唯依彌陀願力。
