Some people may say, I have accomplished a great deal in my art and that has made my life quite meaningful. Another person may find great meaning in his life by serving the community. Others may find meaning through believing in God and their religion. I certainly bless them and hope they have stable lives. These are valuable accomplishments ; but, they are temporary and not the ultimate attainment for us. They don’t understand the ultimate nature of human beings or the true meaning of human life. Namo Amituofo!
或者有的人以為“你看，我有藝術修養，我已經有意義了；我在為大眾服務，我已經有意義了；我信了某種宗教，我信了主，靠上神了，我有意義了”，從某種程度上講，我們也祝福他們，希望他們人生有安定，至少是暫時的一種安定，但這些都是不究竟的。
他不瞭解人之所以為人，人的生命、人的生活究竟的本質是什麼，當然也談不上真正的意義。剛才說過了，即使不是究竟的意義，能在某種程度上一時安頓，也是值得祝福的。
