Voice of Master Jingzong - Q and A about the Purpose of Life
(continuation of Q5 - 5/6)
If you say, “ it’s good or meaningful” based on your senses or your feelings, it is not totally accurate because it is only based on a superficial recognition.
Our rebirth in the Land of Bliss to become a Buddha is not a kind of compressing or diminishing our functional capacities or our awakenings, nor is it nonsense or happiness as we normally experience them. It is a complete and perfect awakening of our functional capacities, without any obstructions. In this respect, all Dharmas already transcend the relativity of subject and object - the state of duality.
The Buddha-Mind is as vast as the ocean, like the moon shining, and all of the stars in the sky. All Dharmas, all the creations and extinctions of thoughts by sentient beings are unfolded and revealed in these Buddha-Minds.
They perceive: richness, deepness, vastness, the state of perfection, completion, and relaxation without obstructions. In our world of duality, we distinguish object and subject, even “enlightened” is compared with “unenlightened”. This is basically discriminative and inverted. This shortcoming does not exist in the Land of Bliss. It is beyond our conceptual thinking, so I will stop talking here.
