Neither a wife, treasures, nor a throne,
Can be taken with us at the end of life.
Only the karma through living according to the precepts and the virtues of giving without attachment
Can be our companions during and after this life.
妻子珍寶及王位,臨命終時無隨者;
唯戒佈施不放逸,今世後世為伴侶。
